This is a Gaia Color thinner with a retarder added.
Adding a retarder slows down the drying time of the paint, suppressing whitening when using an airbrush and allowing for clean, even brush strokes when applying with a brush.
The slow drying time also helps the paint spread evenly and enhances the gloss.
Add more retarder as needed.

I was tired of brush strokes drying patchy on humid days, but this thinner’s built-in retarder keeps the paint workable just long enough for a smooth, even finish. Airbrushing also stopped showing that annoying white haze at the edges, which is a huge relief.
The retarder in this thinner has completely changed how my brush strokes lay down—no more patchy dry spots mid-pass, just smooth, even coverage every time. I’ve been able to work slower without the paint tacking up on me, which makes detail work feel almost relaxing. Definitely my go-to now for anyt
Airbrushing has been way less stressful since I switched to this thinner—the retarder really does keep the paint from drying on the needle mid-pass. Clean, even coats every time, and no more frustrating whitening on humid days.
