Born Paint 009 - Finish Clear Color 25mL (Bottling Error in a 50mL Bottle) - Main image
$5.86 $8.14 In stock

Please note that due to a bottling error, these 50ml labeled bottles contain 25ml of paint.

Color: Clear top coat for plating effect

Characteristics

Low erosion allows clear coat to be applied with minimal fogging on delicate plating series.
Please refer to the painting flow and HOW TO movie for more information on the plating finish painting.

Conditions for Use

  • Recommended Tool: Airbrush
  • Dilution Ratio: 10 : 0 ~ 3
  • Recommended Dilution Solvent: Born Paint"4 Ultra-Low Erosion Clear Thinner

Precautions for Use

Viscosity has been adjusted. Due to its low solvent resistance, we do not recommend applying a topcoat to the low erosion series. Please allow the plating series to dry thoroughly before painting. Scrubbing strongly may cause paint to come off.
To strengthen the paint film, use a special strengthener for "Born Paint 026 Finish Clear Dedicated Strengthening Agent". When diluting the paint, be sure to use "Born Paint 004 Ultra-Low Erosion Clear Thinner".

Richard ★★★★★

I was ready to be annoyed about the size discrepancy, but the low erosion formula really does work as advertised for the plating effect. The 25mL is still enough for several small projects, and the finish dries crystal clear without eating into the base layer.

Isabella R. ★★★★★

It felt a little odd to open a 50mL bottle and find it half full, but the description was upfront about the bottling error. The clear coat itself has genuinely low erosion, so it didn't react badly with the plated parts underneath. A solid top coat for the price, just be aware of the size.

The 25mL in a 50mL bottle threw me off at first, but since it’s labeled clearly I just planned around it. The low erosion formula is exactly what I needed for a delicate plating finish, and it levels out nicely without eating into the base coat.
