The pearl finish shifts beautifully depending on the base coat underneath—over a dark primer it reads almost metallic, while on white it stays soft and frosty. The ink flows evenly from the tip with no pooling, even on curved panel surfaces, and one pass is enough for most spots.

I’ve been layering this over a light gray primer and the pearl shift is subtle but really noticeable in sunlight. The marker tip makes it easy to hit tight panel lines without pooling, and I like that I can control the finish by what I put underneath.

The base color really dictates the final look—I tested it over white and gray primers and got two totally different pearlescent effects from the same pen. The tip lays down a smooth, even coat without pooling, which is rare for metallic markers.
